I retired as Practice Director in July 2023 and now work as a consultant for Barwells.
Following a change in legislation in April 2009, I was one of the very first non-lawyers to be appointed to a partnership of a law firm in England.
I spent the first part of my career at NatWest Bank where I undertook a variety of roles including time as an Inspector of Trustee branches and a Senior Manager in charge of a team of high-net-worth investment advisers.
Moving to Barwells in 1998, I was instrumental in setting up the firm’s financial advisory arm and was a key member of the Private Client Department, until moving over full-time to the role of Practice Director for the Firm.
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and hold their Trustee Diploma. I also hold the Personal Finance Society Diploma having passed their Advanced Financial Planning examinations.
Outside the office, I am a keen golfer and skier. I also play the bass guitar quite badly.
