Highly Commended at the Eastbourne Business Awards!

We were delighted to attend the Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce Business Awards on Friday and are thrilled to have received a Highly Commended recognition in the Large Business category!

It was a fantastic evening celebrating the success and hard work of so many brilliant local businesses. We’re proud to be part of such a supportive and thriving community.

Team Barwells (Hannah Trigwell, George Darakchiev, Alex Desombre & Edward Sandalls) had a fantastic time yesterday taking part in the Eastbourne 10K Legal Walk in support of Citizens Advice Eastbourne

They completed the route in 1 hour and 56 minutes and were the first team back!

We were proud to walk (and race!) to help raise money for Citizens Advice Eastbourne

Each year, the London Legal Support Trust organises regional legal walks to support local Citizens Advice offices. The goal? To improve access to justice for all.

100% of the funds raised go directly to Citizens Advice Eastbourne.

Barwells were proud to sponsor the Children’s Respite Trust Fundraising Summer Soiree at the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne. It was a superb event, raising more than £13,000 to support the charity’s vital work.

Barwells Solicitors Celebrates 15+ Years Supporting Cancer Research UK!

We’re proud to have helped facilitate nearly £7.9 million in legacy gifts through the Cancer Research UK Charity Will Service – a contribution that will make a lasting impact in the fight against cancer.

Sue Robertson from Cancer Research UK visited our Seaford office today as we marked this incredible milestone. A huge thank you to our clients and communities in Eastbourne, Hailsham, Newhaven, Peacehaven and Seaford, for your support over the years!

Barwells camp mates Paul Chaloner, Stephen Ash, Josh Elliott-Noye and Rob Vint are taking part in St Wilfrid’s “I’m a CEO Get me out of Here” on the 21st March 2025.
They have signed up for a day of camp based activities and tasks designed to test fear, nerves and team work. They will have to conquer their fear of heights and creepy crawlies and work as a team to win their tasks.

Barwells are proud to support local charities such as Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare, an animal rescue and sanctuary based in Lewes, East Sussex. Raystede provide rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming and sanctuary to both pets and farm animals.

Today we met with Mikayla Bernstein and the team from Raystede, and donated £1,300 to help support this amazing charity’s running costs.
