Companies House fees are changing from 1 February 2026
📢 Companies House fees are changing from 1 February 2026
If you run a company or are thinking of setting one up, you may have seen recent updates from Companies House.
From 1 February 2026, the following digital filing fees will apply:
💼 Company incorporation: £100
📝 Confirmation statement: £50
🚫 Voluntary strike-off: £13
These changes form part of wider reforms designed to improve transparency, tackle economic crime and strengthen trust in the UK corporate register. This includes enhanced enforcement powers under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act and the introduction of compulsory identity verification for those setting up or running companies.
⚖️ What does this mean for businesses?
While the fees remain low by international standards, the wider changes increase the importance of:
✔️ accurate company filings
✔️ compliant director and shareholder arrangements ✔️ proper advice when incorporating, restructuring or closing a company
